What we collect

No cookies and no tracking profiles. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies or identify individual visitors. Our host, Cloudflare, processes technical data such as IP addresses briefly to deliver the site and protect it from attacks.

Maps load map images from OpenStreetMap's servers, which receive your IP address to send the images.

Email list (when offered): if you sign up, we keep your email address only to send the eclipse updates you asked for. You can unsubscribe from any email. We never sell or share your address.

Why, on what basis, and for how long

• Running and protecting the site (technical data handled by Cloudflare): our legitimate interest in a working, secure site. Kept by Cloudflare only briefly under its own policies.
• Visit counts (Cloudflare Web Analytics): our legitimate interest in knowing which pages are useful. No cookies and no personal profiles; only totals are kept.
• Email list: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by unsubscribing. We keep your address until you unsubscribe, then delete it.

Who receives data, and transfers outside Europe

Our service providers: Cloudflare (hosting and visit counts), OpenStreetMap (map images), Cloudflare's cdnjs service (the map library) and our email provider, Zoho, which handles the email list and any message you send us. The site's operator and Cloudflare are in the United States, so data may be processed there. Cloudflare relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you can ask to see, correct, delete or take a copy of your data, restrict or object to its use, by writing to the address above. You may also complain to your data-protection authority (in Spain, the AEPD).
