Eclipse Whisperer
Disclaimer
EclipseWhisperer.com provides general information about the 2027 and 2028 total solar eclipses. It is for information only and is not medical, eye-care, travel, safety or legal advice.
Eye safety
This site gives no eye-safety advice. For guidance on watching an eclipse, follow the recommendations of NASA, the American Astronomical Society or your own eye-care professional.
Travel
This site gives no travel or safety advice and makes no statement about whether any place or trip is safe. For that, read the official travel advice of your own government, such as the UK Foreign Office, the Spanish foreign ministry, the French foreign ministry or the German Federal Foreign Office.
Weather odds
Our clear-sky chances describe past weather. They are not a forecast, and the sky on the day may be different.
Times near the edge of the path
Eclipse times near the edge of the path of totality can differ by seconds, and the length of totality there is very short.
Local clock times follow each country's time-zone rules as recorded in the IANA time-zone database when the site was built. Morocco keeps UTC+0 all year from 20 September 2026, and Egypt uses summer time (UTC+3) in August. If a government changes its clock rules before the eclipse, the local times on this site shift by the same whole hour, while the eclipse itself does not move.
